In the Laurin Lab, we aim to create a collaborative environment that values diversity, creativity and excellence. Our goals is to pursue our passion for science with rigour and pleasure. We believe in team work and we nurture ownership among team member via dialogue.
Mentoring is an integral part of life in the Laurin lab. Mélanie strongly believes that the best way to reduce stress and create an healthy, collegial and productive work environment is by communicating and setting clear expectations between mentor and mentee. Lab members are expected to create a career plan, listing short- and long-term goals to prepare them for the pursuits of career in academia, industry or any other path they wish to pursue.
